As an avid reader her entire life, at age 65, Mary Young has published a book of her own. Guided by the works of other authors whose stories whisked her away from everyday chaos, her new
book, The Curse of Havre Island, is one she hopes will do the same for her readers.

Mary owns and operates a small metaphysical shop in Southern Virginia where her customers often find her behind the counter, working on a manuscript. When not at the shop, she is at home,
sharing her life with her husband and two fur babies.

Although Mary has many hobbies, being out in nature is her favorite pastime. For her, nothing can beat walking through the forest paths or sitting by a bubbling stream. Sharing those times with her husband and three little dogs makes them extra special.

Each month, Mary spends time outside alone, lying on the ground viewing the full moon. This inspires Mary to let her imagination run wild, giving birth to her books, books she hopes her readers will enjoy and encourage them to follow their dreams.

Mary is currently involved in writing her second novel and looks forward to continuing the character’s growth on the magical island of Havre.
